Movie time..

10/24/2006

It appears to me that I am in the mood for movies now. Lots of them. Just checking my brother’s PC to find over 20 movies he downloaded and never mentioned anything about!
So here it goes. Now I am watching “Muhammed - Legacy of a Prophet”; then on my check list I’d follow by “V.For.Vendetta” and “The.Lake.House

Hmm, these are the names that attracted my attention. I might try “Syriana” according to AG’s suggestion, though I’m not very much enthusiastic. Enough blood I’ve watched in “Munich(by the way, I don’t know why I didn’t mention that movie previously.. guess me should).. and there is “Pride.and.Prejudice” another hit I watched couple of months earlier, and “Serendipity” that was my best of all. (guess I mentioned “Serendipity” yet in the other space that was deleted some time ago)

On the same folder there are some other names left like “The omen”, “the polar express” and other animation movies. I love animations. The best of all the best for me was “Anastasia”. I searched for it hell of times online but didn’t find a proper one with proper number of seeds to download! However, every now and then I try my luck till I have it and watch over and over and over and over…..

Still, I insist, me not movies fan. TV was and will be my worst enemy. Yet on the other hand, from time to time you have to go up to real life a bit. So now, it’s enough imaginations, and let me continue “Muhammed - Legacy of a Prophet” in peace.
In the next days I’d sure be writing something about it, it’s a good watch..

Yalla, wish me pleasant watching
Bye..

Hey !
Finally you've bestowed upon us and allowed comments! Gosh, what a relief was that..seeing all the posts and not being able to comment hurts :)

I really Liked Muhhammed – LOP, I’d recommend it for any non-muslim right of the bat.
Can’t believe you haven’t seen V yet, but what do I know.. I’ve watched Se7en for the first time in my life a couple o days ago :)
Lakehouse , haven’t watched it yet, but..meh ! tell us what you think of it anyways.
I really loved Syriana, Just remember the tag-line while watching, it says “ Everything is Connected”, I also happened to like munich a lot.. Watched at the movie theatre with people from many different places, amongst them was a jewish-american friend of a friend who’s got family in Israel.. he didn’t like it at all :)
The Omen, I liked the old ones and I also liked this one. Some goosebumps for ya.
Pride n Prejudice: A Jane Austin fan friend of mind told me she hated this one, She recommends watching the
BBC adaptaion starring Colin Firth as Fallatzwill Farcy, The guy who played Mark Darcy character in Bridget Jones's Diary . Darcy’s character is insipired By Facry’s, it’s funny they brought him to do it, and I like how they changed the names :) .. that was trivial I know, But I just couldn’t help it :)

Anstasia is beautiful, But to me Polar Express is what ugly computer animation is about, The characters look scary.. look at their eyes.. they look dead !
The whole movie was done in motion capture to copy the movements and facial expressions of real actors…which is a terrible thing !.. I mean.. it’s good for visual effects and realistic stuff, but why make a cartoon that looks and acts in a life-mimicking fashion with no exaggeration !.. Animation is about caricature and exaggeration, look at Pixar when they did humans in The Incredibles.. that’s the right way to do it.

Btw, I really loved “In Mood for love”.. you might wanna give’em another chance and watch the sequel called twinty four six
some people would argue the fact if it’s a sequel or not.. but I believe it is.

Hope I didn’t say too much.. hehe ! sorry for that :)
Have a pleasant watching and 3eed sa3eed
Cheers

P.S; Thanks for the homage in tagged-post about blogs, That “TADA” made me talk down to my friends for 2 days :)

Hey Blue.. How's it going? Glad to see your blog back and kicking. Just wanted to say "hi" and confirm your opinion on Muhammad - LOP, Fantastic documentary about Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Watched it 3 times already and I still enjoy watching it. I even managed to gather my parents around to watch. If you want to let a non-muslim know about the Prophet. This is definitely my choice. I remember mentioning that in my blog as well a long time ago,

Indeed, you did mention Serendipity. Glad you finally got the chance to watch it. And glad you liked it as well. It is a really nice movie.

Gotta run..
